About the Artist
Harriette Ambach studied at the Armory Art Institute, the Florence Academy of Art, and has taken numerous workshops with master sculptors.
She is inspired by the beauty of the human body and spirit, and uses it as a vehicle for discovering and expressing the many complexitiies of the human condition. Her work, although figurative, is symbolic of humanity in a broader sense rather than depictions of particular individuals, and often has a contemporary twist.
Her beautiful bronze and terra cotta sculptures have been in many shows and the Gallery BIBA on Worth Ave., Palm Beach, Florida, and are held in significant private collections throughout the country.
She is a member of the National Sculpture Society, the California Art Club, and the Santa Barbara Sculptor’s Guild, and lives and works in Santa Barbara, California.
